Tips for Your Inbound Trip

Over the years we’ve welcomed guests from across the globe and have developed a list of important travel tips to help make your journey easier.

• Our gate code changes regularly so be sure you have it with you when you arrive. We’ll send it in an email a day before you arrive as well as by text the day of your arrival.

• Most people travel from the Bay Area. If you can, avoid traveling on Friday afternoons when traffic is slow due to the combination of travelers and commuters heading north.

• If you’re flying into SFO or Oakland, try to arrive in the morning and head north by noon.

• We recommend that you stop in Healdsburg for lunch and a walk around the square.

• You will reduce your drive time significantly if you can fly into the Santa Rosa airport. Since it’s a small airport flights are limited, but it’s only a 90 minute drive from the inn.

• The two main roads into Anderson Valley are Highway 128 off of Highway 101 at Cloverdale and Highway 253 off Highway 101 at Ukiah. Both are windy, two-lane mountain roads. Be careful, drive slowly, and pull over for faster traffic. They are lovely roads if you are not in a hurry.

  • Take Highway 128 if you are traveling from the south. Indian Creek Inn is 32 miles from Highway 101 and will take about 45 minutes.

  • Take Highway 253 if you are traveling from the north (Redding) or from the east (Highway 5). It is 23 miles from the Highway 101 to Indian Creek Inn.

• Gas prices in Anderson Valley are higher than elsewhere so fill your tank in Cloverdale or Ukiah. There are EV charging stations at The Bewildered Pig, Handley Cellars, Goldeneye Winery, and Greenwood Ridge Vineyards, as well as in Ukiah. Check businesses for hours and availability.
